Having worked in the industrial aluminum profile industry for many years, I've often encountered several issues during the processing of industrial aluminum profiles. Today, I'll summarize these problems and explain some conventional solutions for your reference. 1. When the temperature is too low during the extrusion of industrial aluminum profiles, and the extrusion speed is too slow, the temperature of the profiles at the outlet of the extruder cannot reach the solution temperature, thus failing to achieve solution strengthening; Solution: Reasonably control the extrusion temperature and speed to ensure that the temperature of the profiles at the extruder outlet remains above the low solution temperature; 2. There are few fans at the outlet of industrial aluminum alloy profiles, and the air volume is insufficient, resulting in slow cooling speed and the inability to cool the industrial aluminum alloy profiles within a short time

Having worked in the industrial aluminum profile industry for many years, I've often encountered several problems during the processing of industrial aluminum profiles. Today, I'll summarize these issues and explain some conventional solutions for reference only.

1. When kneading industrial aluminum profiles, if the temperature is too low and the kneading speed is too slow, the profile's temperature at the kneading machine outlet will not reach the solid solution temperature, thus failing to achieve solid solution strengthening. Solution: Reasonably control the kneading temperature and speed to maintain the profile temperature at the kneading machine outlet above the low solid solution temperature;

2. If there are too few fans at the outlet of the industrial aluminum alloy profile and the air volume is insufficient, the cooling speed will be slow, failing to reduce the temperature of the industrial aluminum alloy profile to below 200℃ in a short time. This leads to premature precipitation of coarse magnesium silicide, reducing the solid solution phase and affecting the mechanical properties of the heat-treated profile. Solution: Strengthen the air cooling conditions. Factories with the resources can install atomizing cooling equipment to meet the low requirements of the 6063 alloy cooling gradient;

3. The ingot composition fails to meet standards, with magnesium and silicon content not meeting specifications. Solution: Strengthen the quality management of ingots.

4. The ingot has not undergone homogenization treatment, causing the magnesium silicide phases precipitated in the ingot structure to be unable to re-dissolve within the short time of kneading, resulting in insufficient solid solution and affecting product performance. Solution: Perform homogenization treatment on the ingot;

5. Improper aging process, poor hot air circulation, or incorrect placement of thermocouples can lead to insufficient or over-aging. Solution: Reasonably determine the aging process, correctly install thermocouples, and correctly place industrial aluminum alloy profiles to ensure smooth hot air circulation.
